Creation of the Unified Transport System Management Platform of the Sverdlovsk Region based on RITM³

OBJECTIVES

The unified platform should provide solution of the following tasks:

• collection and storage of data from all ITS subsystems;
• aggregation and processing of current and retrospective data;
• visualization of the current state of the transport system;
• coordinated management within the boundaries of urban agglomerations at the municipal level, as well as interaction between regional and municipal levels;
• presentation of data in the established reporting form;
• determination of the mode of operation of the transportation system;
• management of the transport system in order to maximize ITS efficiency indicators of the urban agglomeration road network.

SOLUTION

The realization of the project is based on the RITM³ digital platform. It includes 14 modules that fulfill the following main tasks of the project:

• analysis and planning (3 modules);
• forecasting and modeling (2 modules);
• monitoring and reporting (5 modules);
• management and control (4 modules).

The configuration of the RITM³ digital platform for this project accomplishes the following tasks:

• real-time forecasting of the transportation situation based on the received data from all information providers;
• transport planning and modeling;
• monitoring the movement of vehicles of specialized services of the urban agglomeration, as well as taxi;
• providing a single workplace for event creation and administration to all services of the urban agglomeration;
• providing telematic information for all road users and interested agencies.

The final stage of the project is currently being implemented. The Unified Transport System Management Platform to be created should ensure the collection and analysis of data from all internal subsystems and external information systems (sources): administrative and technical inspections of the urban agglomeration, road services, taxis, etc. of the intelligent transport system of urban agglomerations.
