The new Traffic Management Facilities Design module within the RITM³ platform expands road and traffic planners' possibilities in creating and maintaining cities' and regions' digital twins
The new Traffic Management Planning (TMP) module by SIMETRA boosts and eases crossroads, junctions and road elements operational design within both their initial planning and reconstruction.
The module's library contains over 40 elements, which are essential to design street networks, such as road structures, pavements, sidewalks, lawns, parking spots, engineering structures, road markings, trffic lights and traffic signs, CCTV cameras, displays etc. The solution allows to customise road signs and markings, including creating additional ones. In selected cases selecting, placing and positioning masts, traffic signs and markings is fully automated according to the selection of applied norms and rules.
The solution considers automated generation of obligatory reports and documentation according to an applicable national design code, which may be customised to fit the specified requirements. Upon the settings applied, the system will automatically generate working specifications and drawings to the required scales, logisc and sets of parameters.
The utmost level of the detail allows to use the module to create precise digital twins of any coverage and scale. Upon its inmplementation, municipal and regional authorities will get the quick, precise and easy-to-use tool to plan measures on increasing the traffic and pedestrian flows' safety and effectiveness.
